    It's all about keeping up with the Jones' and maintaining an appearance of wealth and prosperity. Never mind the idea that one should be happy with what they have. Instant gratification is paramount.

    Read an article some time ago about how almost 50% of the population of Texas is in collections for something or another. Pathetic.

    Americans nowadays have zero clue as to what this means.

    When you see 170k for a single person. That a good chunk of change. With a house hold of 5 people, 170k isn't really that much. Well maybe, just have to manage your money closer than you think. It's not cheap raising a kid. Let a lone 3 kids

    You'll get there one day, but I suspect a few kids, with an undeserved sense of entitlement to mommy/daddy resources, along with mommy and daddy allowing that sense to continue, adds up to much $$$ out, not 'nuff $$$ in.

    But,,, I am making many assumptions and logic leaps here, since I know them not.
