So an FJ twin stick setup and a crawl box comes out to about $4k after it's all said and done. Hmm...

$3300 for the cases and sticks

I may be overestimating the cost of the additional "oh fuck I forgot that" items though. There is also a $350 core refund when I send in my stock transfer case.

i'd say you're right on par. may need more when you decide to redo your fancy new skid.

your new crossmember will need a bushing, and if you decide to use a poly one, it's not a bad idea to switch out all of the other bushings from the motor back with poly.

a properly built new crossmember will allow you to build a true flat-belly skid from the IFS skid back (just clock the t-case properly). that's a lot of extra steel/UHMW.

i think you've got the right budget, but you're roght about there being a signifficant amount of "oh shit, forgot about that"

    Plan of events:
Work on truck, go to the Saucer/Brewery Tap/Okra.

Rinse and repeat for a week.

Yeah, the new skid will have to go, or be modified. Hell, it will have to change when I build the new bumper as well. I will probably end up selling the all-pro IFS and my skid as a package when the time comes.

There's gonna be a lot of parts up for grabs in the near future. The brute force rear is probably going to be the first up for grabs.

Near future does not equal tomorrow!

Here's the current order of things to be fabricated:

    Rear bumper
Rear cross member (replacing the tire holder cross member)
    Supports for Jobox
    Flatbed
    Front bumper
    IFS skid
    Mid skid

That's gonna keep me busy for a while and the skids are at the bottom of the list.

I think I read on pirate that you need a 1" BL (for true flat belly) regardless of how you clock it, I will try to find the link
