    TRD Exhaust,
    THIS!

I'm also a part hoarder, I still have factory mounts, shifter, bumper, wheels, exhaust, taillights and grill for a car I sold in 2010.

Gotcha, I misread your post. I'm surprised that it stayed that way. You'd think it would "jar" itself back around.

We may never know why the taco gods deemed him this trial… and right! you would think a speed bump would flip it around.

Ask and you shall receive. So after putting my '14 exhaust on my buddies '12 DCSB, I had his stock exhaust that needed to be hacked up and trashed. I thought it'd be cool to see whats inside. The first image shows the double layers of metal that house the baffles. Image 2 is the airflow pattern. I cut it from the bottom, so the green arrows are the inlet. The air from the engine flows to the 'back' of the muffler and then begins to hit baffles as it travels back in the direction of the front of the truck, before heading out of the tailpipe. All the orange arrows are where it circulates and the purple arrows is the air heading out.

That's a great inside view of the stock muffler design... :)
I always wondered exactly what was in there. When I ran comparative dyno tests on my 2.7, the stock muffler performed reasonably close to a straight through Magnaflow.
