I purchased my 2009 4x2 Tacoma just a few days after my bday (23), sorry I don't have pictures of when I made the deal. I original was looking for a car, but after much pleading from my parents and best friend I decided to get a truck. I admit a Tacoma wasn't even on my list but I saw a dark blue, double cab, 4x4, leather seats at my local Chevy dealer. Took it for a ride and liked it, unfortunately the dealer wouldn't negotiation on the price which was very high, and on top of that the guy was rude to my mom and I just walked out after he told my mom she doesn't know what she's talking about.

I ended up purchasing my Tacoma at Royal Palm Tacoma. I admit I wasn't 100% happy with my decision on buying the Tacoma. My last truck was 4x4 and I was hoping to get another but it is hard to get a used 4x4 truck in South Florida with low miles and not beat to hell. And I really hated the color, still don't like it to be honest.

But after the years I have grown to like my Tacoma and respect it.

This is after a week of me having it, dealer didn't do a great job in cleaning it so I did a full detail inside and out.

The first mod I ended up doing, aside from tint, husky floor mats, and removing the mud flaps. Was a train horn from Hornblaster.com. I know many of you don't like these things but this is my truck and I can do whatever I please.

Horns where the spare tire should be.

Before any of you start crying saying I'm gonna regret not having a spare when I need it. Bam.

After my father and I installed the horns my dad stared at my tank and said I should put a fitting on it so I can run an air line through it so I can fill my tires if they ever get flat.

It took almost a year for the compressor to go out. I was dumb and set it up whenever the car was ON. I developed a small leak and the compressor would run all the time and bam compressor broke. I threw a new one in and this time set it up so I can switch on the horns and compressor seperately.

I was able to get in on a group buy and purchase a 30" led bar.

While I was getting my oil changed at my local dealer I browsed around the lot and stuck my head in a newer Camry and saw the touch screen monitor and loved the bluetooth.

Did ALOT of research and found that some members on here have swapped out their old ones for the newer touch screen and a few members have added steering wheel controls. So I decided to give it a shot.

I already had the controls to skip tracks and volume, but I wanted the ones for the hands free talking.

Than the radio, from a 2013 non nav.

Radio sticks out just a bit, but I don't mind to much

When I purchased the radio it was missing the bottom bezel where the hazard/clock assembly went. When I ordered my antenna kit from cruthfield I ordered a dash kit for a 2013. But the bezel from the kit will not fit in the stock dash, I had my cousin do some work on it and he molded the bezel on, sanded it and painted it. I personally liked this better, only because it's now one piece and its all the same color rather than how others have the dash black gloss and the bezel flat black.

I used these to help me with this project. All the info you need are on these links.

Yeah, I have over a 1k into my truck, which I know is NOTHING compared to others. I really wanted a supercharger, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Same!!! Supercharger would be awesome, especially with the slower acceleration that comes with larger tires

Yeah, but my next mod will be either head lights and fog lights from jumper, or seat covers.

I was traveled northbound on I-95 in Boca Raton, FL in rainy weather, when I was involved in a chain reaction of accidents. There were 10 separate accidents and I happened to be part of one. I was traveling behind a newer Tahoe when I noticed that a few cars ahead that people were slamming their brakes. I knew it was serious so before the Tahoe in front me slammed his I was already on mine. I was fine until I saw a Kia behind me coming up fast. I knew he wasn't gonna make it so i served onto the shoulder hoping he would avoid me......he didn't. He ended up plowing straight into the Tahoe and than bounced off and hit me.

Luckily I am fine, as is my brother and girlfriend.

After 3 years of having my Cobra radar detector I decided to retire it and upgrade to an Escort 8500 with a mute button. Special thanks to Ostrichsak for helping me out.
