Mainly using it for hauling lumber and stuff. Although I am thinking about maybe building a plywood camper within the rack to have some dry storage/sleeping area for camping and fishing.

I managed to obtain the Demello / TacoDoc rack from another TW and Expo Portal member (Thank you AirMonger). For the obscene price of Free (I did buy the tool box for 100) the whole setup is now mine!
My original plan was to cut it up :spy: and reconfigure it lower but after mounting it, figured I could save some $$$ and simply stretch it to fit my longer tent.
The front overhang was stretched 18" to fit a CVT Mt. Hood with some room to spare.
I added two more holes/bolts to the rails for more piece of mind. The rack is solid. Last week I stood on the front basket (240lbs) with no issues.
In this picture I had two Scepter water cans a BBQ and some other gear stored up there.
I have since mounted the ARB awning on the drivers side of the rack.

Who needs a Lift when you have a rack that tall/ large? You win

    Are you saying I shouldn't lift?:D

Yep...It's a little more rack than I had in mind but you cant beat the price.
8.5 feet tall to the top of the kayaks. I did set out a thundershower with 60mph gust on a trip last week. Pulled off on the side of the road with the big rigs.

I think our ultimate plan is an expo trailer such as an AT or custom made but it works great for now.

One I am working on now. Not for my truck but mine will have one eventually for use when the shell is off. It will have aluminum tslot bars mounted when all is said and done.

I can't imagine the 'roll' in corners with a lift being that top heavy!

You'll be changing your tires like this ->

    Lol....
Yeah, no thanks. I was surprised at how stable it was.
Although, if I do lift, I only want 2 inches, stiffer springs and possibly air bags.

I figured I would run this for a couple of years then go for one built to my specs.
