I picked up a S&W 1076. Didnt get a great deal on it but didnt get ripped off either. Sort of average pricing. Bout it from a pawn shop and it only came with 1 mag, no box, and the original owner kind of chewed up the hogue grips putting them on. Gun was it ok condition, trigger was a bit grity, hadnt been cleaned in awhile, and the finish shows it has been either tossed around or carried (could go either way).

But totally stripped it. Put it in the sonic cleaner. It cleaned up pretty dang well. The trigger is back to being....well...a 1000 series trigger lol. Finish still looks the same.

But overall Im happy. The 1076's are getting a bit harder to find so im happy with my purchase.

Be fun to get it out to the range. Its a beast and is heavy so be fun to see how it handles my hotter 10mm loads and i might have ot load up some even hotter ones to really push it.

I have a Crossbreed holster and Theis holster. They are both pretty much the same holster. I actually prefer the Theis, it was cheaper, same lifetime warranty and about 2 week turn around time. Might have been less. It also doesn't have the crosses on the clips, which if you ever tuck your shirt in while wearing it they kind of stick out.

Thanks for the links. I am limited on what sited I can access at work (of course anything firearm related is blocked) so i will check them out when I get home. I found this link which has a TON of usefull info on this topic incase anyone else has a similar question

    http://www.policeone.com/police-pro...1-The-complete-guide-to-concealment-holsters/

I am purchasing a new glock 27 next week and this will be my first conceal carry weapon. So Ill have to experiment a bit to find what works best for me. I guess finding a good brand is a good start, then I can narrow down a more specific style.

Bottom line, it seems that a normal ride height IWB pancake holster probably made of leather (or similar) with an "FBI" CANT (10-20 degrees) or more is a good place to start.

I'm rocking a kydex iwb with a 15*-20* cant. It uses a pull the dot style loop. You can't see it when it's on me. It tucks nice.

I also like the g code holster. Tucks deeps

After some more research, looks like im really interested in a N8² Tactical's new "professional" IWB hybrid style holster. Traditional 1 clip tuck-able, adjustable Cant, good padding, small and comfortable, and positive retention. And made right here in Murica :oldglory:

Also looking at a simple Unlce Mikes IWB holster for certain outtings for the ease and convenience of it and for $13 you really cant beat that. Dont think id want it as an EDC holster, but seems EXTREMELY comfortable.

Raven Tactical makes some sick ass holsters, but they seem HUGE!!! Just the Crossbreed holsters recommended above, just seems a little bulky for EDC especially for several hours at a time.

The N82 Tactical holsters are all i use. Find them extremely comfortable even wearing them all day. Carry my Xds and my Sig p226 in them. I just have the basic model and even it works great

Picked up a Springfield XD45 yesterday.. Unfortunately someone must have dry fired it too many times and my Striker pin snapped in half.. So 12 dollars later I have some extras being shipped to the house.

Im jealous of all these AR builds :(

I finally purchased my first shotgun 2 weeks ago. Remington 870 Tactical fully hooked up with ghost ring sights, rail, 2 round extension, and added a Blackhawk KNOXX pixtol grip with the recoil supression on it. Already put a few hundred rounds threw it. So smooth!

Next week im picking up another glock. This time im going for a 27 (subcompact .40) for ccw use. So ill have a full size pistol, sub compact pistol, shotgun, and then I can start an AR build before its too late in this horrrible state of Cali.
