How loud is it? Say, compared to a .22? Does the 17 HMR come in a low velocity quiet round?

Alright a basic run down of the .17HMR....(bear with me not great with the gun talk lol) There are two types of .17... the .17 HMR and .17Mach2...... the .17 HMR is a 22 Mag necked down to fit a .17 caliber bullet... and the .17 Mach2 is a 22 LR round necked down to fit a .17 caliber bullet..... hope i have not confused you to bad lol.... but the 17HMR is a bit louder than a 22LR but is quieter than a 22Mag IMO.... I never have shot the .17Mach2 before so i cant tell you much about it..... Maybe someone else can chime in and explain it better......

What happened to "driving nails"? Thats a quarter and it won't cover the group. Driving nails would be more like a dime. Here's five shots at 100yds with a AR-10 chambered in .243.

Just giving you a little hard time. On a serious note, that rifle and round really should shoot excellent. I have a Ruger 77-22 chambered in that round and shoots well. One thing to remember, that bullet is very light and it has an extremely low coefficient. Is is affected greatly by any wind at all and it will drift dramatically at 100yards and any shot past that distance is a waste of powder if you have any type of cross wind.
