So these are the famous nuts and bolts that people install all the time at home, but pepboys don't have the tools for.

Obviously you're not living up to your end of the bargain but it seems like you're trying to make it right now. Whether it's coincidence that you're now first communicating with the buyer since this thread's creation and consequent PM from mods... who knows.

But I think the biggest error on your part is wording your FS ad as if all the parts were ready to go.

Think I know why they won't come off...

"I have tried multiple times to get them off but the bolt just spins when you try to get it loose."

To Topguns' credit it seems like he is willing.

But these are just his words, which certainly have a diminished value at this point.

But if he drives up and delivers cash and/or parts I feel as though he will have made it right.

Again, whether or not that this thread and the mods were the catalyst rather than his own volition and good nature, only Topguns knows.

Lesson learned... get it off, boxed and ready to ship before opening a thread. That said, if I received payment today then I would be doing everything possible to make good on the transaction. Period. You not getting the bolt off Day 1 is fine, but it took over a month just to bring it to a shop  Glad to see you're trying to make good on this now, but everything could be avoided with open communication.

I shipped lights one time and the pkg got returned for insufficient postage. Immediately pm'd the buyer to let him know and drove to the post office to make sure it went out that day. Took 30 seconds of my time to write a quick message so buyer's not left wondering where his stuff is.

So you're telling me marines can capture Iwo Jima in less time than it takes him to take off nuts and bolts? Idk what your definition is trying is but defiantly my term of trying.

Why not have a local TWer or several offer to remove the bolts and call it done? If PepBoys can't do it and YopGuns can't then either return the money or let someone else get the bolts. Am I crazy?

Haha there's a lot of SoCal TWers and there were plenty offering to go knock on his door. Now that he has surfaced just seems logical to knock on his door still with a wrench in your hand, and end the saga. If the bolts are genuinely not coming off then at least someone impartial could say I tried to get it off and its not going to work. Then OP could source new hardware and TopGuns can do whatever he wants.

OK I'll ask him. Topguns are you putting a wrench on the back nut and the bolt head? Or just the more visible bolt head.lol
