The mirror covers and the wheels I don't care for but that is minor stuff that could be changed. I would buy a limited though before I bought a base model with the black grill, black fender flares etc. To me that looks cheap.

The truck is great, really dig the pickup. Don't think I could go back to a sedan after this. Really enjoy taking it out on the beach with the kids.

Black wheels definitely set our trucks off. Real solid look. Maybe Ill plastidip the mofo's.

Yeah for sure. Have to do something with the wheels. When I see a soccer mom in a GMC Acadia (nice truck though) with 19 bling wheel covers pull up to me I cringe thinking I have very similar wheels, ha!

I could buy Katzkin heated leather, chrome door handles and add them to my '13 OR with nav & jbl entune and still come out cheaper than a limited. You can keep the chrome wheels

I do understand the marketing side of the package though.

Personally, I try to look at each truck as an expression of the owner, whatever that might be. If I never looked at another owner's vision of what they like and what they think is cool then I might not have gotten ideas about how I would like my truck to look with options or ideas I had never considered. I rarely see a vehicle that I like everything about it and rarely see one I like nothing about. If it makes the owner happy then it is a great truck for them. Maybe not for me, but I do not own it. To each their own. I figure there are enough options and choices for everyone.

I do not like any more chrome than maybe the rear bumper. One thing I hate about the TX edition Fords and GMs. Too much chrome for me. The chrome just makes them more attractive south of the border. Also, the bed cubbies went bye bye in 2013 or before.

    Some stuff...
Yup. I posted a thread about this a week or so ago after getting some weird looks from other Taco drivers around town. To my surprise the thread was poorly received! :(

Gotta agree - Toyota went a little nuts with the chrome on the Limited model. Somewhere, somewhere within the halls of Toyota corporate there is one really out of touch dude (or dudette) who thinks that excessive bling equals premium... and they created a truck that kinda resembles the rolling equivalent of a Swarovski store in the mall.

That being said, I picked one up.. and within 20 minutes of signing the papers, had the wheels off the truck and stored in the garage. I also ordered color matched door handles and mirror covers. I did all of this with a bit of resentment about having to spend more $$ just to get the truck dialed in to my liking, but hey - I'm really just succumbing to my own hangups and preferences anyway... and the pleather seats, seat heaters, and all the extras that came with it make it a pretty nice rig. I couldn't find a DCLB anywhere else nearby, so my hand was somewhat forced... It is what it is.

I got heated seats with my wet okoles...and the JBL thing, well its a decent upgrade, but you are prob overpaying for the value you get where you get install your own aftermarket one for cheaper and superior sound. Not trying to bash, just want people considering this to be aware of all options. Anytime you buy your own parts and do it yourself, you save money and get better quality...
