    Ha, shameless posing.

Did Toyota donate that truck? Just asking b/c of the big "TOYOTA" logo slapped on the side.

This is why Toyota needs to continue to make the Tacoma regular cab. The Orkin Man and I want regular cabs.

I grew up in Garden Grove and used to hang out at Huntington Beach and Newport Beach. There used to be a club "The Golden Bear" across the street front the pier. Steve Martin opened for the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band there.

They are either donated or discounted who knows...I think they may even be donated specifically by a local dealer. Really good publicity. they probably have 75 total I even see them in Escondido sometimes.

Too bad they have to drive 1.5 mph while working

I have seen "meter guys" use them. For whichever sewer company.

I know that for fleets most businesses want a truck that depreciates (tax write-off) and the Tacoma does not do that.

What do you mean? Either way, less depreciation would be less tax write-off if it's $ value or percentage.

But to answer your question, the depreciation (Which is a % of your truck's initial cost each year) gets full dollar value taken off of business tax.

Did I answer what you were asking? I'm not sure I understand.

I think you write off the value over 7 years, but when you sell it what you get back is income.

That's probably right. I have not taken any courses in tax, but in my Engineering Economics we covered some value... Which was the initial cost, multiplied by depreciation rate, to the nth power (years) plus the salvage value. I have no idea what all of that was supposed to tell you though. (I did at the time, made an A in the class but just can't remember)
