Damn, I hope they settle. I didnt like how the OME's rode until I put the AAL in. I like my rear a little on the stiff side.

Agreed, no one likes a saggy rear!

Nope. But dont like my ass in the air either. Once i get the frame boxed and spare tire mounted, should be at ~100-150 extra pounds in the back. Not quite the recomended 200+ lbs OME recomends but should help the leafs settle a bit.

Sweet build sir, bookmarked for reference when I finally buck up and turbo mine haha. Off topic (kinda) question... What kind of HVAC control panel are you using in this pic?

You get the silver aftermarket one or the clear 4runner one or somehow hack yours up and make it work? I'm gonna attempt to get the orange off mine but am assuming I will ruin it in the process so I need a plan B.

Thanks and good luck when you start yours. I bought a 4runner face plate off ebay and used blue leds for the two outer knobs and a white led for the temp knob.

I've already got the bulbs switched out (strangely me and you had the exact same idea, leaving the middle one white so the colors on it show through correctly) I'm just trying to change the panel out. From what I've found I believe they are the exact same P/N and it's just kinda luck of the draw if what you order shows up orange or clear. So I wanted to compare yours to the part number on the back of mine.

Oh. I just searched on ebay for a 4runner plate. Ended up buying the whole assembly.

AAHHH I bet you are anxious! I would have been long done with mine but long story short my cat broke my tv ($850) and I made much needed guitar amp upgrade ($2250).
I'm still confused about your oil drain situation though... did CX send you a new pan with a fitting welded in??? I can't imagine any other way to get the oil back into the pan without using an external pump

The issue was for the oil feed. They advertised a sandwich plate between theblock and the oil filter that redirected oil to the turbo but instead sent me acheap universal kit. It wasn't in the instructions (I’ve since figured it outbtw) so I called them and the guy said something along the lines of

"We never installed it in on our test truck so couldn't tell you how toinstall it"? – WTF?

So I asked for the sandwich plate and they said it would be $20. WTF again.

Anyways, the kit has a fitting for the oil pan/return line. To weld it on, Iwould have to drop the front axle to get the pan out.

Not a huge deal, 1st gens aren't that hard. I did get the oil feed sandwichplate finally but decided not to use it. The kit they sent has a fitting thateither screws in right next to the oil pressure sensor or I can mount the manifoldin like with the pressure sensor (I afraid if I mount it next to the sensorvice in line, the oil pressure to the turbo can drop without the sensor pickingit up...).

Ah, gotcha. I'm hoping to get the headers and (maybe) the AEM FIC within the next few checks. I'll totally send you a hundred dollar check if you help me with that haha

Ron and I can help you on the fic wiring. You will need it but don't worry too much, we've (Ron) figured out the hard parts. Keep the $100, I only figured it out with help from a guy off of customtacos. Get the wire harness; it will make things much easier.
