Anybody got any bed rails like the factory deck rails I think they are called that you want to get rid of? It's the rail that holds the bed cleats. Evidently the previous owner took them off and I didn't know it would be this hard finding some and two dealers said they don't sell them seperate. One said I would have to buy a whole new truck bed. Not sure I'm gonna have much luck unless I find a taco in the junkyard

    Can ya spell Tonneau

Do you mean the accessory track system for the cleats? Hmm

On the DIY side you could try strut channel

There is a thread about other options.

yeah I don't understand why the dealers here are saying I can't get them or I have to buy a new truck bed. Thats crazy. One of the reasons I want to get it is I would like to get a softtopper for it sometime. Even my wife is ok with that since she said we could take my truck on trips since I get better gas mileage than her trailblazer.

Any of you guys been through the mid-travel thread lately? Talk about some douche responses. It seems a ton of people on that page are experts at mocking people for asking questions or seeking advice. Glad I have you guys to bounce my stupid ideas off of.

Internet Thuggery. Most are weak minded. This forums and others like it are a heaven for them. I usually just ignore them. There will be at least one person who will answer your question. Ignore the rest.

    I ramble. Sorry.

You can get the rails as a separate part.

    PM has been sent.

Nah. Saved $10k this way. I wouldn't tow the 82 enough to justify the fuel and maintenance costs of a diesel.
