It would affect lift...any additional weight would...get ya some 886s

 

i was gonna get the 886 but i thought i am not gonna install a full bumper...now i am split...just installed last week...i guess i got to install a small winch mount then.

Do you know how long your U-bolts are? or how much additionnal length the shim required from your U-Bolts?

I don't have much thread left on my U-bolts right now... I'd have to look more closely or measure, but I'm thinking something along the lines of 1/4 inch, maybe a little bit more. I don't know how much an axle shim would require, but I'm afraid it might not leave much of a safety buffer on the u-bolts threads...

 

U-bolts are approximately 7.5" and after the shims I have 1/2-5/8" of thread on the ground side of the nuts

Why does everyone seem to prefer such high caster? I'm running 1.9 on each side and don't have any issues at all.

I think if I went any higher I'd hate driving what with the lack of straight lines around here.

After i told them they assembled them wrong. They stripped one of the struts while reassembling them. So they cut half off.. Not happy with them at all. They wasted so much of my time and money, driving back and forth.



Oh and btw is one supposed to be longer than the other?

One of my 884 coil was slightly longer than the other and I put it on the driver's side. I didn't measure, but it was less than 1/4 inch difference. Even with that slight difference, and with the driver's side trim packer, I still have about a 1/4 inch taco lean.

In your case, it looks way off... Are you sure they're all matching parts?

 

Here's what the coil difference looked like. Not the best picture, but it gives an idea.

In the picture, they are both sitting upside down, with the "flat" side of the coil on the bottom. The difference is that I rotated one around 180 degree so the highest part of each coil are close to each other.

IMO whatever the height difference was, it didn't make much difference once the coil was compressed because I still have a slight Taco lean even with the trim packer as mentioned.

 

I can't see the trim packer in your assembled pics

 

Did you buy new or used coils?

 

mine is about the same.
