Sarcasm must be lost on some of us... Why so serious?
In all seriousness, you probably just aren't eating ENOUGH of that kind of stuff. If you can find you metabolic baseline it is much easier to know how much you have to eat. Start tracking your food and you will probably see that you're not eating enough. I eat about 3600cal/day and am in a holding pattern for weight until summer concludes. That is way too much for some people.

Helps get you a number...then you can click on the link just below it to see what it says is your "daily calorie needs" to maintain your weight. Then you can see how much you need to eat in order to gain or lose.

Last night, the lady wanted to go eat, so we went to a place called Southern Pit BBQ. Anyone from the South knows that BBQ is a big fucking deal; it must be slow-cooked and is one of, if not the most widely critiqued foods in the South. Well, this place gets a two thumbs up from me. They had an all-you-can-eat pork BBQ plate for $11....I opted out and just got the single serving, with cole slaw, brunswick stew, and cornbread. Good God, it was amazing. Here's a pic of the meal I got (stolen from their website):

I just sat and stared at the wall afterwards because I was so full. Anyone who ever makes their way through Griffin, GA definitely needs to check this place out...although, it's still not as good as Fresh Air BBQ in my hometown of Butts Co:

If any of you bastards ever make it through middle GA one day, I'll take you on a bulker's paradise tour of all the greatest artery-clogging Southern food establishments in the land.

Anyway, back to the topic of fitness, yesterday's deadlifts are making my lower-back screeeeeeeam today; it's never been this sore...the good kind of sore. I think it was the final set of 6 @ 385 that did it. I usually shy away from heavier weight on deeds unless I'm maxing out, but I went heavier yesterday and man, did it do some fucking muscle-tearing!

A friend and I have a bet to see who can join the 1000 lb club first and I'm only ~25 lbs away, and I guess the only way to get those deads higher is to go heavier more often. Squatting is DEFINITELY my weakest of the three lifts, although I've been focusing on destroying legs for the past few months. Now that I'm bulking and can actually start growth again, I'm hoping to see some progress in all 3 lifts.

    Squat: 275
Dead: 405 (I know a lot of pople use the powerclean, rather than deadlifts for the 1000 club, but we're using deadlifts)
    Bench: 295

    Total: 975

Granted, these are my pre-cutting #'s, so it's gonna take some time to get back up to them. Any of you die-hard squatters (Eric, Kona, Gage, whoever else...) got any advice to get these squatting #'s up? Any Crossfit-related advice will be ignored and ridiculed

As far as bench and deadlifts go, when bulking, those #'s shoot up fast, but my squatting fucking blowz. A lot of the leg stuff I've been trying new has been on my cut, so I'm not going to see any growth, but, when bulk, my legs grow. My legs are strong and definitely do NOT get ignored. I can hack squat, leg press, deadlift, etc. with the best of them, but my squatting #'s are lower than I'd like
