Your only new for like 15 seconds. Then you have a great time and use your Tacoma in the desert like it's supposed to be used.

I think I'm going to get a room either at Desert Ironwoods, or Julian where it's a bit cooler. Depends on how tired I am after the run, and how far I feel like driving.

I'll be hitting up Corral Canyon in the morning for some 4x4 wheeling if anybody else is down ;)

Got a room at Ironwoods. Can't beat 75 bucks for AC, TV, wifi, and a pool in Ocotillo Wells.

Yes. It's important to stay out of the washes or lower elevation roads when there's water on the ground. As long as you're aware of the situation and have a plan to get to higher ground, you'll be fine.

The tricky thing with flash floods is that although it may not be raining overhead, it can be dumping miles away and the washes carry the water down hill.

Realistically, with this many people, the only reason you shouldn't go is to keep the mud off the truck.

For a beginner in the desert would this trip be worth coming down from oceanside. I mean I have nothing going on today but I dont really want to drive two hours just to be so confused on what's going on.

This is the best trip for beginners, with this many people it will be pretty slow paced
