Hey guys I was poking around my engine bay today and looked like there was some leakage around the headers is this the head gasket or valve cover? Is it a "normal" thing and should I be really worried about it? It only has about 80k on it it's the 3.4l
Also I've checked the oil and it seamed okay
    Thanks in advance

It's on both sides of the engine but looks worse on passenger side and looks like it might be on the back aswell but I couldn't really tell.

Typical 3.4L valve cover leak. Replace the gaskets and good to go.

Is it a tough job? Should it be done at the dealer opening up the engine seams pretty intimidating.

New Navigation DVD/CD/TV/AV/Bluetooth Stereo and seat mod spacers, 1" hubcentric spacers, seat heaters....
or just slightly tighten the bolts holding the covers on, all mine were a bit loose after 200,000 miles and just a little bit of tightening stopped the leaks pronto..

if that doesn't do it, then go for new gaskets, a bit of the pain in the U know what to replace...warning, do not over tighten, can lead to worse leakage...

DON'T tighten them too much or you may crack the valve cover. Happened to me. Ended up having to replace the entire valve cover and all gaskets. The bolts are only torqued to like 20 ft lbs or something.

tighten them up lightly. the job itself is a drag because you have to remove the whole intake assembly. its not the hardest of jobs with basic hand tools, but it will take a good half day.

Retorque them. FSM calls out 53 in lb (6 N m)

I helped one of the guys re-do his gaskets. Took all day but got it done just fine. He drove it 40 miles home with no issue. I took it as a sign of a job hard to screw up.
