Mostly yes for high speed stuff but I had to have them because I'm running a generic 2.5x6 king shock with a first gen top plate (kinda custom) it's not the oem replacement, so there a little long and if I wasn't running the limit straps my cv's would bind on full droop

Was that hole big enough that you didn't want to go through it?

It was probably about 4ish ft deep if I remember correctly. No one had enough of an approach angle to go up it. We would have all hit our front bumper. The ditch on the passenger side where we were coming down was about 2-3 feet deep.

I guess another bonus to building a tall truck. I can handle deeper water.

You probably thought of this already, but in case not, transfer case and differential breathers relocated up higher as well? Will you be putting a snorkel on your beast?

have you seen pics of it?? It has had a snorkel on it for 2 years.
The breathers I have to redo cuz new axles. but they used to go to the bottom of the bed and into the engine compartment.

I've only seen a few pics from your signature, avatar, and a couple in your build but I have paid enough attention to notice a snorkel. I was busy gawking at 1 ton axles, 5.38 gears, and 44s

lol the tires under it right now are worn out 40's but I only paid $100 for all 4 of them. and my 14 bolt gears just showed up today. next order will be rear springs then a TC pump kit and it'll be driving.

Went to Rattlesnake Ridge today in North Bend pretty sweet spot definitely recommend it if you are in the area. 4 mile hike but the view is worth it. Also saw a bunch of tacos out there. here is a pic looking down on North Bend

Depends what your front lift is. I know people who have rubbing issues with 285 tire and a 2 inch lift up front.

    Even with 5100's at 2.5", a 295/65/18 will rub a ton, especially on a 10" wheel.
