I stayed pretty busy today, installed my AVID bolt on sliders, debadged my tailgate and put on a TRD Baja emblem, and finally threw my Gibson catback exhaust on.

Big shoutout to Brandon over at AVID Offroad for the excellent customer service. He even had a local shop powder coat the sliders for me.

Love the catback, nice deep rumble at startup and almost goes unnoticed when cruising.

Ranch Topper, Bull Bar.....Yes, I know everyone thinks they are crap, I like the look
    Took the mud flaps off.
Truck looks a lot taller now.
What are the little flaps in front of the tires for?

Decided to fix up the 'dip job on my wheels today, and tried something a little different while I was at it.

Only got one wheel done (Started too late in the day) tonight, so I'll do the others tomorrow.

    Before:

After peeling off as much dip as I could by hand so that I could wash the rims while I was doing the rest of the truck:

All clean and prepped for the first coat of plastidip:

    First coat:

    Hub cap:

    Finished and mounted:

The wheel took two full coats plus a bit of touching up, and the hub cap took two coats.

I'm still not sure if I'm sold on the white, but at least that's super easy to pop off and re-spray in black if I change my mind. I also need to pick up some black lug nuts. Alternatively I could just spray them.

I, too, have been wondering what purpose those tiny flaps in front of the tires serve...

Not so far. They are all pointed away from me, so I just see the glow and not the actual led. The pic makes it seem more "glaring" I guess.

Its one way my local dealer ship said I can do ( also said itll add miles to the truck) and I do understand the reasoning behind disconnecting the shaft. But its good that I didn't my dads truck broke down and he wouldn't have been able to reconnect the shaft. I am hoping nothing happens but if it does truck is under warranty either way

Ya well my dad is 65 with bad knees and my mother is no good with help. Dealer ship has to prove it anyways. I'm not worried about it. Thanks for the concern tho

Ya I understand completely where your coming from. I wanted to but since he's towing it for me I didn't. But his truck blew a spark plug on there way back home and had to take the truck off the dolly. Its a one time thing. I'm deploying and it was the only way to get it home.

It would be nice if the Tacoma came with a neutral selection for the transfer case. Wouldn't have to worry about disconnecting anything to tow it.
