Hey guys this weekend me and my lady are going to horseshoe bay in marble falls Saturday night. I was planning on hitting hidden falls adventure park Sunday before coming back to Houston. I will be alone w her. Any advice on this park. Was planning on sticking to the main roads but I'm sure I won't. I'll air down to 15 psi or so. Im assuming they have an air station to fill back up? Iv never been to an offroad park so any advice is helpful! Thanks

They have an air station. I would say don't go alone. There are some trails that can get bad quick. Skip this weekend and go back when we have a meet.

I wouldn't go alone, hopefully there is a group there that you can tag along with. Do you have sliders / skids ? They will prevent a lot of body damage if you decide to wheel off the main roads there.

I always go in a group. To simple to fawk up by yourself and be up a creek without a paddle. Now if you get on tx4wd or somewhere else and can find some :dareIsayit: jeeps to run around with then go for it. But that might be difficult on a Sunday.

Are the main roads that hard that I shouldn't even stop by and drive ??

Go with a group. If you get lucky and find a stockish jeep group to follow you'll be ok. If it was a Saturday I'd say you'd have a good chance of this happening. Sunday not so much.

Was literally just there a few weeks ago for half a day. Did park roads on the North side I didn't do the first time I was there and then did greenhorn. I had more pucker moments on the park roads than greenhorn. You "should" be ok, but if you get stuck, pick a bad line and flip, slide off a thought to be good line and flip, and you're out on a sunday without anyone else you'll be walking back if able to find help. Or waiting for them to find you... Oh, and cell phone service isn't guaranteed out there.

Really depends on you and your truck. I trust this isn't your first time going wheeling. If it is, find a group of foks out there to tag along with. Make sure that group has vehicles of similiar capability as yours; if not you might get left behind. Be safe and have fun.

Look out in the Texas forum for other offroad meets in the future and come out with us. September and October should pickup with wheeling meetups. I know I'm itching to go...

The suggestion to not go alone is not just because of trail conditions and getting stuck.(Though that is a MAJOR concern) I ALWAYS say to never go alone because you never know what could happen. And if something bad DID happen, you could be stuck there for hours with nobody knowing where you are. Better to play it safe, than risk injury or other problems. It is not difficult at all to get oneself stuck, or rolled over, even on benign trails.

I've been to Hidden falls solo quite a few times. Just know your limits and don't be stupid. At the end of the day if anything goes wrong, at least your in an offroad park and not way out in BFE with no cell reception or hope of other wheelers in the area. In my opinion, Hidden Falls is a much better place to have shit hit the fan than many other places in the country that people wheel.

That's may be true, but from what people are saying, if you have limited experience and a stock rig, going solo at HF, you may flip on you lid.
I'm sure OP would be fine on main roads, but i've never been there myself. But if OP does go and gets in a bind, he can call you since you're only 30 minutes from the place. :p

That sucks I just read this... I just got home from my trip the country up there is amazing. I kept seeing so many awesome trails/ dirt roads from the highway. Oh well, it was a fun time even without my wheeling adventure. If only I hadn't posted this tread. Going to slp tomorrow to get my fix.
