Noticed on my 2013 DC that on the right side of the hood(pass side) that my hood, light, and grill gaps are about 1/8" wider then the left side. Is this normal or is my truck out of spec. I know that build quality is built to a price point but my last Tundra did not have a noticeable gap. Just wanted to make sure if this is normal or not...

Take it in to dealer, point it out, their body shop can fix it in a few minutes, usually it involves loosening a bolt or three, in no time it will look right....or, you can do it yourself if you have some basic skills..

    Good luck...

I did take it in and the service dept said that it is within specs. I would expect that it is more common then you would think. Many are so enamoured with their new truck that they do not notice. I, being a tad OCD did notice and the service dept said that they see many like this but again, "within specs". It is not nearly good as my wife's Acura but better then a '66 Ford Mustang. Anyone into older cars sees much worse but with newer cars, I expext more. I think with no competion in this market that Toy has gotten used to bulding like they do and are not likely to change. It is still a good truck but has not really changed in many years. Would be interesting to see what would happen IF they were pushed with competion. Not to be disrespectful on this board but Chevy is bringing back a mid sized and within a year will have a diesel. May be interesting to see if Toy will start to have changes in the line up....

I'm pretty OCD myself but so far I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary with the truck. Fit and finish seem top notch. The only issue I have is a intermittent rattle where the seat belt attaches to the adjustable slide on the drivers side. Doesn't do it all the time so really isn't worth the time and effort to take it to the dealer. I'll mess with it one day when I get ambitious and see what is making the rattle.

Sounds like you got a good one. Had a 05 Tundra that had a dash rattle when the temps got cooler. My Tacoma truck is rattle solid but just a tad extra wide gaps in the hood fitment. Had almost gotten used to it when I saw this post back up. Again, a good truck but just a bit loose on that one part of fit and finish but when its' "within specs" it is not worth my time at this point. As I said, I have gotten used to it..All in all a good truck but would like to see more MPG with its' power rating. Perhaps, a six or seven speed with higher ratios in the future. But, until someone comes along and hurts the Toy's sells, they will keep things as they are because why change if folks buy the truck and they do not have to invest in any R&D or new parts?

Definitely post pictures...want to see exactly what you're talking about. I am super anal about things being straight. Only thing on that front end that could be crooked is the hood itself. Everything else on that front end snaps in place and then gets bolted in.

Hood would be easy to adjust, but it shouldn't be crooked in the first place.

I have never noticed anything like this on my 14'. I would say my Tacoma is pretty darn fantastic in every way off the assembly line.

This. 10 months in and I've been exceedingly happy with the build quality of my '14AC. I can quibble about some of the accessory decisions like Entune Plus, shit speakers, no ambient temp, etc. But I have no complaints about the quality of build.
