1st off, shipping weight is 220 lbs. How will that extra weight in the front, effect my rear end flying out going around corners. Also would that 220lbs knock off a couple of mpg? Anyone have any other issues? I'm getting it because my current bumper needs replaced and it costs almost the same for a painted replacement as it does for this. And there are a lot of deer up this way, and the 3/16 steel should give them a clean death.

If you have no aftermarket suspension I would not put that much extra weight on the front end.

^^ I agree. (An OME setup is a quality and somewhat inexpensive way to go.) Yes, your mpg's will drop. I'm about 15+ mpg fully armored with MTs.

Whaaaat?! I try not to jet off at more than 2k rpm and don't mind coasting more on hwys. I also have a bed cover, which is debatable on this site as to whether it helps or not (I've watched tests that say it does.) How do you drive? By "+" I mean anywhere from 15-16, no more.

If your minds set on their bumper just get their aluminum version... says it's only 79# and only $820.80. http://www.carid.com/2005-toyota-ta...4167578.html?gclid=CNiLz-e-978CFSpo7AodSHYAAQ

At 79# unless you add a winch thats pretty close to stock weight once you strip off all the old crap so it should drive just as good as stock.

    3" lift? A.R.E cap 285/70/17 moto metal 955 17x9
I bought a TJM bumper, the shipping weight said 225lbs, but after taking the shipping pallet off along w/ all the packing mat. we figured the bumper was more like 100-150lbs, (just a guesstiment but could hold bumper with 1 hand)

Suspension wise it only dropped about 1/4in on stock springs.

Didn't feel any difference in the rear, but I have a cap.

    Didn't really affect mpg's.

Only issues I had was putting bumper too close to fenders at first (didn't allow for body flex) kwik adjust fixed that, and have been happy as hell with it.

    Lol...

Just saying it makes it difficult to understand what you're saying when you have the longest run on sentence in history

I'm in the market for the same bumper and have a question about options for winches. Body Armor website says "low profile" winch.

Can anybody elaborate on what that truly means. How do I know what winches will work? Feel free to throw out any models ranging in the 8-10K rating.

When I look at the bumper I also wonder how I'll be able to get access to the winch. This is all new to me so be kind. I'm in the early process of selecting upgrades for my 2007 Tacoma.
