I ordered an exhaust gasket with 2 day shipping. Paid almost $19 for 2day shipping. It ended up taking 5 days. So the truck i was working on, rode around with a leaking exhaust because my package was "supposed" to be at my door on the second day, and it was there at the end of the week instead. It happens.

Amazon usually ships with USPS from what i've seen
But ocasionally UPS or FedEx...a lot of times things are handed down from UPS or FedEx to the postal service for delivery.

 

I would raise a hell storm if that happened to me. How bad was the leak or was it good enough even though you should have had it fixed?

Im talking about Amazon prime thats what i use and they are always on time for me. Ill have to see when my next package gets in I guess. I finally ordered my tailgate cables

The truck was useable, infact....most people wouldn't have noticed it. I couldn't hear it but i could feel the air coming out around it on a cold start up

So does bilstein really make a ride height adjustable shock for the rear now? Or am I just misreading it?

 

From what i understand, they fit a range of lift depending on what leaf springs/add a leaf you go with

 

With a leaf spring suspension there is no possible way to get lift from shocks.

If you used a lift shock on the rear with no lift leaf spring....Yes the leafs would be out of whack and you'd wear out shocks sooner.

I want stock height 5100s meaning i'd have to buy the ones that accommodate 0-2" of lift

 

I knew it was to good to be true but by the wording of the ad you can see how it can be confusing. I don't know which ones to get, the 0-1.5 or 2-2.5. Im having a AAL getting installed tomorrow which is supposed to raise it 1.5 inches (ive read some people get 2 inches out of it) but I have a camper shell that puts it down about .25inches. Plus I may do a 1 inch block in the future. What are your thoughts?

 

Get a progressive aal(3 leaf) much better, IMO. But if not, get the 2" aal. If you're stuck already, a block will make axle wrap worse and with a cap, the aal will sag pretty quick. You need new leaf springs like all pro expos

 

I'm doing stock height 5100s in the rear

5100s on stock coils set at 0.85 on the front.



That being said, i plan to ditch my cap tomorrow....

I did, got the icon 3 leaf progressive.

 

And yes but not every weekend. I commute in it everyday and on weekends do forest service roads and the occasional trail.

 

~.5 of an inch is right on the cusp between "the shorter ones should be fine" and "the longer ones should be fine"

personally, I'd go with the longer ones- it should be fine, I'd rather risk a bottom out on a full stuff than a top out on a speedbump
but you should call DSM and see what they say. micah knows his shit

haha I have heard of the candy from wheelers. Ill probably get them from DSM since they have the cheapest price for the full kit. Thanks for the opinions
