Wannabe Tacoma owner here with question about incentives/specials on Tacoma

Hey all. Not sure if this is the right place to ask but I've been looking into buying a new Tacoma and just left the dealership. The salesman said that "there are never any specials on tacomas". I was hoping for something like a 0 APR for some months at least. Does anyone know if this true? Do they not ever have any incentives for the new ones? Does it depend on location?

 

I can't remember any significant deals on a Tacoma in the past 3 years. The dealership might throw in something like a dirty water car wash but Toyota Corp. sells every Tacoma they make. No big reason for the factory to take a cut.

 

Got my 2012 TRD in Oct for 28,500 otd Best months to get a Deal are Oct/Nov they need to make room for the new year

 

Hmm. I would think every once in a while they'd have SOMETHING - if you wait and watch like a hawk - but like NYNURSE said Toyota has no problem selling Tacos really so why push an incentive?

I got a hat and a shirt..........coming to a whole $10 incentive.

 

I don't think there are any incentives or deals. I just got mine last month and all I really got was $500 incentive for military members. Just talk them down as low as you can and pull the trigger.

 

I would think some of this would all depend on area.I.E. is it a high volume taco sales area or a low one?supply/demand.

 

Yeah, just wait till the new ones come out in the Fall. They want to get rid off of the previous model. That is the only time I see them giving you a deal. Granted, the people I know that work at dealerships told me a Tacoma barely last two weeks on the lot.

 

Thanks all. Just wanted to make sure the salesman wasn't lying to me to get me to just pull the trigger that day.

Welcome and just haggle the price down as low as they are willing to go. I mean seriously if you can get them down about 3k you are doing good. I would honestly just go in and say look give me your lowest possible price without the back and forth crap.

 

Make sure you check multiple dealerships and get a price quote in writing.
