Got my light bar modified and ready for install :D Had to shave it down a bit to make it fit but it'll be nestled in behind my grille hopefully next weekend.

Sounds to me like someone went cheap and hired a guy with no permit and inspection. I agree with Mike about the permits but the inspectional services are there to protect home owners from shit like that. I am also not that dumb to think that things never get over looked or missed by accident or on purpose but if you are hiring someone to do a job you cant, then you need to bw aware of what is going on and/or pull a permit and have it inspected

Did you level the camper? The GF's parents have a 3-way fridge, and if the camper isn't level then the fridge will run but it won't get very cold. Something about the design, I guess. :notsure:
I know that it does take a lot longer for that fridge to actually get cold on LP; we borrowed their rig last year, and it didn't get cold until we'd had it running for about 6 hours or so. I was starting to worry that we'd be doing a massive cookout before all of the food went bad, haha!

I didn't believe it until I tried it either. I was like "POURING HOT WATER DOWN THE BARREL OF A GUN ARE YOU CRAZY?!"

That is the way to go with black powder as well.

Yeah, it was a black powder enthusiast who told me about the trick in the first place. I was still highly skeptical until I actually tried it, but it really does work great.

Edit: What do you have for a black powder, Bill?

The camper was pretty close to level, as level as it'd be on a camp site. I just eye balled it but that's all I plan to do when camping also. Fortunately, all the sites we have booked this summer have electric so it won't be an issue but it'd be nice to be able to do some more camping off the beaten path and still have the refrigerator working.

That trick worked great. I poured about a quart down the barrel, followed up with a bore snake with regular cleaner, then some oil and the barrel looked as clean as it's ever been.

Hrm. How does the flame look? Is it sharp and blue, or is it a big fat yellow wavy thing?

Not much experience with LP fridges; that's the only other issue I could think of...

Sharp, blue and consistent. No yellow at all, no sputtering, nothing. The flue gets nice and hot also.

Well, we've exhausted my pool of knowledge in regards to LP refrigerators, haha!

About all I've got left is "replace it" and "kill it with fire"

That's my problem, I'm at a loss for why it's not working. Usually, if they work on A/C and you can get a good flame with the LP, they'll work on LP. I did look into replacing it but it's like $600 . Kill it with fire may happen accidentally if I keep trying to 'fix' it.

I don't have speakers at work so I have no idea what this guy's saying. Maybe helpful?

Oh. I was curious because I'm considering trying out black powder hunting this fall. Lately it hasn't been getting actually cold out until after the regular rifle season has ended, and it seems like every deer I've ever tagged has been when the temperature has been below freezing.

Me neither, I'll check it out when I get home. I have watched a few videos so far and haven't come across anything that will help. Most of the trouble shooting revolves around not being able to get a flame and rebuilding the gas system (cleaning the nozzles).
