    did I say "fatal"? no. just attacks. the state's bear biologist keeps tabs on all human/bear incidents. he also hosts bear aware seminars to teach people about the bears and being safe while hiking, camping, etc.
    :confused: we've had two bear attacks this year that I know of
    AND a black bear was euthanized a week or so ago because it was charging at people in a camp ground

    Ours must be differently tempered then. Black Bears around here are for the most part pretty skittish. Never ran into a black bear, or any for that matter when I was in MT, so I wouldn't know how yours are.

    Its just curious. Best think u could do is scare the living hell out of it and chase it off. Give it a bad memory of humans ans you will effectivly save his life. Slap some blocks together, yell, shoot a gun whatever. Buy bear spray and hit him with that, he was close enough. Its showing no signs of aggression ie: ears back, strait on posture, slapping its jaw etc. Probably smelled something interesting..
