I will still be working on my truck that day, and you are welcome to show up if you want. A lot of the beer from the wedding was consumed, more than I expected but I still have some of that left. The storm did some damage here, but everything out front has been cleaned up. The wedding happened here, and that has been mostly cleaned up too. As of right now, it is still just you and me unless somebody else wants to show up. Have I sent you my address yet?

So should these fires be a non issue by the time we go?

I've been wondering the same thing over the last week, but willing to play it by ear.

At this point, I will be so bold as to say no open fires, even in dug down pits. We need to plan all of our food cooking to be on stoves. Also, in my camp gear, I have a percolator, and I will grind some coffee beans up for the trip. Can't survive without black cocaine.

Good point. I'm not so worried about cooking, I'm worried about trail closures

Agreed to this. We need to really be aware of it, read every last little sign because that's how we got in trouble last time at Naches. There was a sign back in camp talking about closures, but nothing about it 10 miles down the road about that trail. The ruling is that as long as it's posted somewhere, you can get in trouble

Good point! I tried looking up closures but all I found was main roads, not the actual trails. Anyone know where to find this out? Or should we look at a back up plan?

I think right now we're fine. But with the way the fire season has been who knows what fires will spring up in the next couple weeks so cross your fingers!

You'd have to contact the forest service for each section unless there's a WABDR site that keeps track

They are predicting it will be 100% contained by tomorrow.

the route is the black line in the map overlay I posted. Per that map, the trail goes right through the Carlton complex. But if it is contained soon... hopefully we will be good to go!

Well yeah I'm from Cali, I'm up here for work.

He but a good base but I will be stepping it up a few notches. My wallet has already been feeling the pain.
