That happens often. Thanks for breaking the silence :)

Still undecided on coils, plenty of time for that though.

looking to get a daily driver within the next year. figured what's more convenient than having a daily that i already know the ins and outs of, and where 90% of the parts are interchangable with what i already have. plus, matching trucks sitting in the driveway would just make me smile (and have the fiance shaking her head) :D

Get a beater - you'll be happier in the long run.

Don't kid yourself - You'll just end up modding the shit out of an XRunner.

We can't leave these trucks stock it is against our nature.

no beater for me. you're right about modding it though :lalala:
i'm not worried about dings and scuffs. the current tacoma can tell you that.

i'm looking for a ready-to-go vehicle with nothing but an oil change needed when i drive her home. something that i can keep for a long time. not looking for a fixer-upper and definitely not looking for a project car (not yet :spy:)

i'm not looking for a beater, becasue while it's going to be used as a daily driver, it will also see some recreational use, but it also has to be nice enough to take the Mrs. to a fancy dinner. just about everything else i'm looking at is a sports car or sports sedan, i like the x-runner because it performs a similar function as the cars, with the addition that i can toss a big dirty part from the big truck in the bed when needed. just seemed a little more practical than the frs/brz/corvette/G35s/etc that are on my list of potentials.

Its 4x inovations bedrail hardware. A piece of 1.5" or 2"(width) flatstock that will be long enough to come down to the wheel well and have a small bend at the bottom for strength. Then you put the quickfist low enough for the shovel to clear the cleats and the cap/tonneau :)

Ok. Thanks for the info! I'll have to pick up some flat stock aluminum or steel? I'll use it for multiple shovels, brooms, axe etc. Is your axe set up the same way-quikfists?

Steel, its cheap and i had plenty laying around. Just have to chop some and rig it together.

The axe was done with t-slot nuts, big ass stainless bolts and washers and two quickfists.

On the way to work today, driving on Rt. 100 West, was following a Speedway Blue TRD Sport Taco with the TRD Maryland stickers. They got off at the Rt. 103 exit in Elkridge. Anyone on here?
