Thanks m3bassman! Gotta use that cb whip for something useful. :D

Kennyperez, for sure, I've got them on. Helped my bro lean for sure. Pics below.

Thanks WThomas1250, ran out of funds and time for the most part for this site. Getting 700 for my tax return, so hoping to do something fun with the truck.

Any suggestions anyone? Thoughts are leaf springs, skids & stronger coils, snorkel, put towards a front bumper, portable air compressor & trail gear like maxtrax or something fun like that.

Keep us updated! I don't off-road so I don't have any suggestions for that kinda stuff.

Where'd you get the mount for that pirate flag?

WThomas, it's my CB antenna mount I got from BAMF ( Bay Area Metal Fab )

It's really sturdy, holds my antenna up to some good abuse while wheelin.

While I was at camp I zip tied my flag to the firestick so my friends could find me easily.

At that point now, where I've got a tad saved up and am looking to do something to the rig.

Thinking Dakar Leafs and 883's up front instead of 881s. They have sagged quite a bit.

Long run, getting a nice mt setup. but for now, since I'd rather spend ~600 instead of dropping near 2k, I'll just get to this stage for now.

Updates to come. Also, installed an ultragauge with the last gb- so averaging 18.2 mgs right now. Commute is approximately 36 miles per day, 95% hwy.

Thinking of going with longer shackles too. Anybody know off the top of their heads how long Nitrocharger Sport rear shocks are?

Any recommendations on shackle length? Don't want too much stink bug going on, but I'm cool with a nice rake.

How are your cv angles with the 883s? Looking to throw mine on next weekend, put on the dakars and have redonk rake. Hoping I can put the 883s and 10mm top plate without any issues.

    Here's install:

    Here's two days after:

Ride's really nice, massive upgrade from stock leafs.

Here's how it sits with the weight of every old suspension component in the bed

    Hey Mike,

Did you get the 883 + spacer installed in front? Any pictures?

This was a fun thread to read through.

Still haven't pulled the trigger on a lift yet. I've been going back and forth between OME 881 + Dakar, or 882 + Dakar + AAL or shackles.

Your pictures with the 881 looked like a decent height, but in later posts you said it sagged too much for your liking. Can you guess as to how much vs your pictures?

    Thanks man.

    Hey man,

Still haven't installed coils and lift enhancer. Still iffy, as I don't have aftermarket skids or front bumper. It's built to handle extra weight but at same free height of the 881s without that stuff.

Installing the 883 with stock front end will be pretty stiff, so I've been reluctant to put them on.

I can get some measurements in the upcoming days for you.

I highly recommend the dakars + aal, it rides SO nice. Also at a great height in the rear. Stoked at how it performs with all of my camping gear in the bed while wheeling.

    Thanks for stopping in

Good to know! What's your rear setup? Also, I know I've seen it before, but what size tires are you running? Do you have a diff drop installed? I've got one laying around I might install with the 883s

Solid, thanks for the input. Just read on TTORA someone had the 883s sans armor, and it shook everything loose in their dash/ cab. Have you experienced excess rattling, or does this happen to you?

Thinking of installing my 883s + 10mm lift enhancer tomorrow! :woot:

Measured fenders again today: 37" in the front and 40.5" in the rear. I guess they didn't sag too much, but I was really stoked on the pre-broken in height haha. Either that, or I'm just used to my height and am ready for a bit of a boost. Also, I've got a monster rake right now, but it performs so well with a full bed loaded on trails, I don't mind it.

Thanks sir, it was on my truck when I got it actually, so I'm not sure what the original owner got it for. Very handy though, I love it.
