Back in the day all you had to choose from were Centerline's or American Racing aluminum 5 spokes or hammers or the cheap riveted stamped steel chrome wheels unless you could afford to throw some D's on it.

I hope I can learn those typing/grammar skills by the time I'm 52 years old. The not-making-sense part is cool, too.

DancesWithWolves, the TW member who said "Poor Nissan" or "Poor Titan" or whatever he said, was saying so because the truck was decked out with chrome add-ons from auto zone. Didn't you see it? It looked awful. He wasn't knocking the truck itself.

Okay, I think we got off on the wrong foot here, and that is partly my fault. When you first asked "Which Dodge gets that, single cab v6?" I thought you were implying that the EPA 28 Estimate was unrealistic and therefore the Tacoma was still the most efficient. That's most peoples' response. I didn't know you were genuinely asking; Yes, the smallest lightest truck they have is what they will be advertising.

Next, the R&D money. I am not saying that I don't want a redesign. I am anxiously waiting for one. However, I did claim that the reason Toyota hasn't done it yet is because like everyone here says, the Tacoma sales have not dropped. They haven't redesigned not because they can't, but just don't have to yet. It's kind of like, why pay all of your bills in January for the same price you could pay throughout the year? They are waiting for when it makes the most sales impact to redesign.

As for the TRD Pro and Baja, yes, I understand that it is just some upgraded suspension components. Although it is upgraded suspension components that are under factory warranty, no I would not buy them as opposed to building up a base model. But the bottom line is just because it's just small changes doesn't make my previous point invalid: They won't redesign soon after releasing new packages. The public sees those trucks as "the best Tacomas" even though we don't. The point of the release is to make more money, and I see it as a bandaid or postponement of redesign. Or quite possibly, building up their name in midsize trucks before a redesign?

I think you were under the impression that I did not want a redesign or think it was possible. I am confident that with some R&D we could see 30 MPGs easily, and with more HP and torque, especially if Ram is. And yes, I would prefer better interior, engine, and MPG as opposed to filling corporate pockets. But I'm not CEO :p
