    Hey everyone,

I stopped by some local shops today to see what they can do for me in terms of upgrading my suspension/lifting it a couple inches. I think I am going to go with ADS Front IFP 2.5" coilovers along with ADS 2.125" non-remote reservoir shocks in the rear. I will also most likely be getting this for the rear in conjunction with my stock leaf pack. If I can, I will purchase the Light Racing UCA through ADS.

Now with this setup, will I need new extended brake lines? Also, will that AAL work with the leaf pack from Toyota (I got the TSB done, but I'm not sure if it is the 3 or 4 leaf pack). If there is any component I am missing, please let me know. If you all have any suggestions, comments, or anything else then say it too!

Thanks for the help you guys. I have tried to do as much research as possible using the search function, but I haven't been able to keep track of what I have read after a year or so of doing research.

The longer brake lines help with the install but not necessary, if you have had the rear leaf TSB done you should have 3 main and 1 overload leafs for a total of 4, if you are going to keep the sway bar you should get a relocate bracket, also if those are extended travel coilovers you will NEED aftermarket UCAs. Don't forget new ubolts for the rear if they are not included with the AALs.

You won't need extended brake lines. The AAL will I believe and you do have a 4 leaf pack with the TSB. I just got mine done and it raised the back 2 inches, but that is with a camper shell on the back. I don't think you are missing anything in terms of lifting. Should look really good when you are done, never have quite found out the reason to upgrade UCA's.

Oh also you may want to upgrade your front shocks/struts to handle the increase in height.

You don't NEED a sway bar relocate, thats just if you have the extra cash. I haven't done mine and it doesn't hang down so I am fine with it, personal preference I guess

The coil will hit the sway bar when you turn without it, if you don't want a clunk every turn I would spend the money to get one. If yours doesn't, consider yourself lucky.

Hm okay, I am pretty maxed out with this kit as it is and am on a budget. I am going to have ADS do the install for me as they are giving me a pretty good price. I haven't gotten the final prices yet, he will call soon after he talked to some people about the LR UCAs and the AAL. I'm glad to hear I don't have to buy the brake lines, more that it is just easier.

And with the U-Bolts, I'm sure I/ADS can get those from wheelers too if it doesn't include it.

Instead for the front lift you could always just add bilstein 5100's and save some money and not need new UCA's. Not sure how much those coils get you but these get you up 2.5 inches

Turns out my kit includes the bracket anyway. Not sure how the Taco would be, but our Jeep Wrangler is pretty "rolly" whenever the anti-sway bar isn't connected. Is it a matter of getting used to it?

These coilovers are fully adjustable from 0-3" of lift. I thought about the 5100s or a full OME kit for a while but decided to go with a high performance coilover instead!

I just put on an OME kit with new Dakar leaf pack in the rear. The biggest issue I have left are brake lines don't have much slack (so I am a little afraid to do much yet), and with a front diff drop in, my ATO skid plate is very close, so driving it has a very often clunk. For the factory skid plate, the diff drop has spacers to lower the mounting points for it, but the spacers don't work for aftermarket skids.

In group buy section, there is one for stainless braided brake lines, and you can 4 new lines for $106 delivered. I am waiting on my new lines to show up so I can get them installed and really test truck more.

If you are adding a 3 leaf AAL (Wheeler's or Icon) to the TSB leaf pack which is 3 leafs plus 1 overload - 4 total - you have to cut and grind away one of the factory pack clamps from each side for them to fit. Also, I personally have been having slight clearance issues with my Icon AAL pack clamps coming in contact with the fuel tank mounting bracket on the drivers side.

For the rear, you can order longer lines, or, you can try ordering the TRD Baja hardware kit here...

It includes some extra stuff like that washer, but namely the rear brake line bracket spacer, brake line bracket, and front bump stops for only $25
