Oh very lucky would have lost every drop of gear oil. I always keep extra gear oil but it would have been fun trying to patch it on the trail..

Should keep a tube of JB weld and a tube of RTV silicone in the glove box. MY buddy Phil punched his front axle, on his SASed 4th gen 4Runner, through the aluminum part of the oil pan on the Mojave road close to Razor dunes. Me and a friend drove 2 hours to rescue him. Used a tube of JB weld and some RTV silicone to patch the hole and cracks. He drove home to SF without a single drop of oil.

Truck was 5 days old on stock tires and no lift. Snow, wet rocks and an unprotected rocker panel don't play well together. $600 later it was good as new.

Technically scraped both bedsides on a tree this past weekend but only dented on one side luckily (slid in off camber) don't have pics of that one though.

While I was trying to get myself out of that situation I backed into a tree:

Currently have no bumper on the truck but I'm not sure how much it would have helped.

5 years of wheeling with this truck and i finally killed my first driveshaft. the rusty part on the top driveshaft is where it is uniformly narrower than the rest of the tube by about 1/4''. must have sat un something and spun. it was so uniform that i didn't have any vibrations, and didn't notice it had been damaged untill a couple days and over 300 miles later when i crawled under the truck.

yeah, that's the more typical damage. usually causes some vibration at highway speed. we had to pull over on the drive home from the trip prior to this one becasue one of the guys had a bent DS that was wobbling pretty bad.

Headlight mounting tabs broke, filler piece and the front of the fender pushed in a bit but they'll come back out with a little massaging, if not I'll just order new pieces at

Looks like you got through it easier than some rollovers. Doubt the DC would look so good. So, future plans? Cage it and go topless?

chopped the roof off. found a guy on craigslist who let me chop the roof off his cab (about half way down the window pillars) made my truck into a convertible for a couple days then welded on the new roof. I also got new doors rear window and windshield out of the deal.

Install new fenders i got from rockauto and i am currently trying to get the grille on and lined up. Then i need to find a new bed, get a paint job, and she will be back on the road!!

Yes - that 8.4 damage is sweet. I would expect that from a elocker but I haven't seen that from an 8.4. :)
