Thanks for the advice earlier guys, I sold my midtravel double cab last weekend to buy a tundra, well today I looked at a double cab with a tc long travel kit in front and pulled the trigger, I'll probably be asking some stupid questions in the next few days while I fix up some stuff on the truck. It also came with a defined sua kit with deavers new in box.

So far I need to: get a front bumper built, get the little plastic pieces that go under the headlight and on top of the bumper, get a hitch, get the defined kit hooked up (hopefully with a space saver bedcage), and get the current saws rebuilt with new shafts or find some used coilovers to buy.

Will take pics in the morning, nothing special right now, looks goofy as shit with fenders and stock bumper without the bumper caps haha

    Thats the one!

I saw you were running it on your old taco, not a big fan or what?? Tough to say no to a brand new kit that was included with the sale

Damnit!!! Is the defined kit that bad??? Puts me in a dilemma because I have two weeks before I drive 20 hours back to school so I want to get as much done to the truck while im still at home. I would have to sell the defined kit and then go with another kit with the same money or maybe a little more.

My buddy has the defined kit on his tundra...it's "better" than it was on my Tacoma, due to a heavier truck.

Go with 62" springs with new hangers and shackles

The only reason im hesitant too is because I load the bed of my truck with dirtbikes and when I drive back to school in the next two weeks im going to have a bed full of shit including a honda ruckus

i believe i qualify to x2 this lol

iv put some hard hits on mine and it sucks, better than spring over leafs but hardly. i don't mind it on jumps but it doesn't do too well in anything else

sell it while its new then use the cash and have DMZ do an install on one of there SUA kits gona be a lot better than the defined kit

Jordan, Anthony, Krish and I all understand the kits limitations. Mine came off as quickly as possible.

Heres the new ride, has a lot of stuff that needs done, the priority right now is rebuilding the saws with new shafts, maybe new upper uniballs, and a damn bumper so the fenders dont look like wings, then the rear setup, then wheels, etc. Does anyone know if 8 inch coilovers for a tundra with a total chaos kit will fit on the tacomas, or is that a no due to their top mounting plate?

Damn, the only thing is if I keep defined it will go on this week, if I go dmz I doubt they will be able to do it until im back in december and then my truck will be down for a lot of desert trips...not to mention im sure the dmz kit is a lot more $$$

You just picked an expensive hobby. What's a few thousand extra dollars to have a great functioning rear suspension?
