I had a dclb before my ac but it was too much truck for me. Being a carpenter a really need and like having the 6ft. Bed but dont need back seats for people. It was just nice having the extra storage space...
I wish I got a dc again sometimes but other times im glad I didnt go with a dcsb bc of bed space.
I think toyota just needs to make the ac area alittle bigger.

AC gives you enough room to recline the seat me being 6'2" 200+ lbs and plus can hold passengers may not be 100% legal but i have had 3 people across the back. plus the shorter wheel base is nice

The answers here doesn't surprise me since the OP is asking AC owners if they made a mistake in buying their trucks but I do find some answers humerous on those that wished the AC had a little more space. Isn't that what a DC is for?

Nope. Granted, I am probably a lot younger than the average age of a Tacoma owner and don't care about space for the groceries and/or children, but I don't need the extra room.

Swapped a 11' Chevy Equinox LTZ for a 14' DCSB. I wasn't ready to give up that back seat quite yet, as I haul elderly relatives to Dr's appointment. Didn't think it would be a good idea stuffing them into the back of an AC.

I chose my AC for the look and the ability to have a long bed with some additional cab space, Its perfect for me. My son and i take every where. Fishing, biking, hunting, wheeling, the beach (9 hour trip for us) we do it all. Its perfect. If i wanted more room i would have kept my F150 DC i sold when i bought my Tacoma. Its what i wanted and its what i bought. If i thought i could pull it off i would go with an SC. Love the look, i had an '86 SC that i loved but i was younger and didnt need any extra room.

    No.

Form my purposes, the AC is right. Then again, I don't have kids and dont really want to be driving a bunch of people around. But I can if I need to and have room for my gear inside.

Nope ... I love my AC ... storage in the back ... if the AC had the "look" of the RC I would jump on that like a hobo on a ham sandwich ... glad the AC does not have outside door handles on the back doors ... just my 2 cents ...

I'm the odd one out. Everyone wonders why I didn't just get an AC especially with how dead set against having kids I am.

The extra space is nice for carrying stuff that deserves more comfort than the bed of the truck and it's roomy enough to have people there without them complaining about being uncomfortable.

That said, I'd rather have an AC than a DCSB. 6 ft bed is a must.

6 ft bed is a must for me as well. A DC with long bed will not fit into my garage but the AC does very nicely. I really like my AC though I wish the rear compartment had a bit more room for my 95 pound dog. Otherwise he sits on the front passenger seat.
