My brakes are toast so I'm planning on upgrading to tundra brakes pretty soon. Anyone know if I can run them with the stock 16" wheels I have now? I know some 16" wheels will work but I'm not sure what the backspacing is on these.

How did you apply the paint? How many coats, any clear coat?

 

I'm running the stock 5 spoke wheels with tundra brakes. These wheels came on tundras from the factory so yea they will work fine haha.

 

did you drop it off at the dealer? if so what does that run you i need to get mine done.

 

Your wheels are different from mine, is the backspacing the same?

Painted and put my stock bumper back on for now. all loaded up and ready to head to Nipomo/slo

 

from what I've read i didn't think they worked with our stock rims Thats why i wanted to get SCS f-5's before i do the tundra swap. Hopefully someone who knows will answer

 

I don't know what I was thinking this morning, I'm running 1.5" wheel spacers, haha. They should clear just fine, right?

 

I know I'm pissed. In the garage it looked great and really even but once I got it on the truck and in the sun it showed. I only have about $60 in the whole thing, including the camper, so I'll probably buy more dupli color and spray it again.

But still not crazy about the color

I scuffed the camper, applied two coats of primer, and then two coats of dupli color (I guess more coats in certain areas than others) and no clear coat for now because I didn't want to seal in a bad paint job

 

Is there anything I can do to make it less silver sharpie metallic?

 

If there is such a thing as a satin clear coat I would think that it would make it less metallic...

 

Its pretty brutal
