    ok. so I have had the kit here for a while and am finally looking at getting it assembled. I have one question, as it is the first step that is key. When taking the large bottom plate and lining it up for welding, does it go BEHIND the main structure, or does it lay on top of it? This makes for a full 3/16" difference in how it goes together, thus the reason I am asking.

    The 'corners' of the bottom plate where they wrap around the license recess portion meet the main face of the bumper should sit even with the back edge of the main plate. That allows room for the large bottom triangles to meet the 2 pieces without lapping over the edge of the main plate or sitting on top of that large bottom plate. Hope that makes sense Bill. I can snap a pic if needed

    Getting ready to bob my bed, interested in your rear bumper kit with tire carrier, your qube2 light cutouts, a set of your qube2 flush lights, high-lift jack points, recovery points. Can you PM me with price and current lead time? Thanks! PS: Have you looked at doing a round tube instead of square tube carrier, with a full open latch? Possibly with tire mount at an angle, kicked maybe 30 deg or so towards cab? Jeeze, proof reading this maybe I should just call you about a custom. lol.

    Been working on this thing since January, doing a major write up when done. '95.5 Tacoma, 4.3L L35 vortec, NV3500 trans, NP231 w/wide chain/SYE/6 pinion planetary, 5" lift, F250 narrowed HP Dana 44 SAS, etc etc etc...Built not bought. :cool:

    Dang it, now I also want to do an HID mod like you did, that looks sick!

    It looks like you custom made a filler plate? Does it snap in similar to the original bulb so it can be aimed with the current adjustment screws? What colors do the halos come in? PM me with price if you don't mind.

    DIY kits usually rang from 5-7 weeks to ship and fully fabbed work usually takes 5-7 months.

    Great quality stuff though, well worth the wait.

    So it would take you 5-7 months to do a base rear bumper plus the recessed mounts for back up lights plus the modded mounting brackets for a one inch body lift?

    Yes, that what I believe his current wait times are.

    "Q: What is the current lead time on a bumper order?
    A: Currently(10/15/14) it is approximately 5 +/- months. This time may go up or down while you wait; with the extra help in the shop things are looking up, but that would be the estimated timeframe for large armor items at the moment. " (mine took about 7 months but it was a front bumper)

    Also, Eric usually has 15% of sales on certain holidays. You can wait for one of those if you want.

    I may have to do that. His rear bumper is the best one I've seen and it's the one I want so I may have to pm him and see what I can get ironed out.
