    Hey guys,

Lookin for some advice about where ya live. I have been tossing the idea of moving (with the intent of doing so temporarily but who knows) to one of the north western contiguous states for a while now. I am a civil engineer (background in construction and geotech) but also have my EMT certification and wouldn't mind working in emergency services.

    Things I am looking for:

-Smaller town (<100k, probably closer to around 20k)

    -winter. I love snow

-skiing- cross country and down hill, so must be near some mountains

-summer activities-hiking, mountain biking, dirt biking

    -active TW community :p

-somewhat near the interstate system- I want to be able to get on the freeway and be two states over in a day if I want

-reasonable cost of living. I don't want to be paying 2k a month for a studio or something....

Just looking for some input as to whereabouts I should start looking. If you live or have lived somewhere like what I am describing, please post! Thanks!

Thanks for the responses so far. Ill check it out!

I feel like Houston and Hawaii might be missing a few of my major requirements.... like the snow part. And the skiing part. :)

Ive lived in Seattle. Gorgeous country. CA has some beautiful places but cost of living is high, you can find cheap areas but they arent very nice.
I liked Oregon if you can deal with hipsters. Trust me moving inland, you will miss the ocean

Cool idea! I'm headed to Denver for vacation in a couple weeks, can't wait to see the Rockies!

NY isn't what your looking for, we get an ass load of snow and it's cold 6 months of the year but there aren't mountains and everything fun is illegal

    Original. Fresh made.

The extra crispy takes weeks to develop that nice crunchy crust!
