Why is it ugly?!

I think it looks good - the only thing I'd change, err add, is some beefier tires. It's your rig, do what makes you happy not others (is what I say).

 

I like the black fenders and bumper but the bumper does look a little bulky.

Personally I think the issue is with wheels and tires. The wheels are not my style and I don't think there is anything you could do to them to make them look any better. I personally would put the stock wheels on it or even the first gen TRD wheels painted in a darker color. The tires also look too thin for the truck. A 275 or 285 width tire look good on these trucks.

 

I hate the 255 tires but they were free so I can't complain lol I would like to move up to a 285-315 but I'll wear these out first

 

What are you going to do with a bumper like that? I was thinking bright light and deer poaching.

I would ditch that bumper and fender flares. But that is my opinion. Love is in the eye of the beholder. If you like it, that's all that matters.

It is a nice truck.

But it looks narrow shouldered.

Perhaps same wheels with a different offset, or spacers (not a fan).
I am also not a huge fan of black wheels, but I think they would work in your case.

Flip the tires around too.

And add sliders and a rear bumper.

You just need a little "Orange Glo" to polish it up a bit.

 

Better yet.....put these on your wheels.

 

IMO, it would look better getting larger wider tires and blackout the wheels to match the black accents of the truck. All along I thought that was an odd looking ARB bumper but it's made by TJM. It's ARB like but lacks the nice contours of the ARB. That oversize middle hoop really takes away from the front end. It's like looking at Sophia Vergara with a Walter Mathau nose., just can't seem to look past it.

I would not say ugly by any means.....

Color match the flares, add pin striping down the side. The wheels almost look like they are missing center caps but I'm thinking that is the design.

Take another picture with a big hootered bikini girl next to it and the picture will look oh so much better to you.

I've always personally loved the look of the ARB front bumper on any tacoma. I like their look the best

 

SCS 6's are IMO some of the best looking wheels out there for the tacoma. They also have a pretty agressive offset. No need for new wheels.

2. Trade Scoop Hood for Non-Scoop Hood

...and a photoshop job that leaves much to be desired

Try blacking out the wheels in Photoshop. That would help

 

Does not look proportion to the rest of the truck. I would color match the flares

 

black wheels, bigger tires and paint that red light trim black. And black plasti-dip for the emblems.
Not an ugly truck at all though, I think it looks burly.
