Oh , that makes sense , I was thinking it was a joisted floor in which case there would need to be some provision to deal with the flex in the floor

 

I'm gonna call it pretty even actually. My new house is legit move in ready. Maybe a room or 2 to paint. All the work my house won't need, I've done to theirs.

Ripped up carpet throughout house. They wanted the hardwood floors exposed.
Re-landscaped around their large in ground pool.
My father-in-law travels every week. And last couple times he's been gone 2 weeks at a time. So I've kept the grass cut. The yard is stupid big, but its too awkward to use a rider... My FIL usually does it over a couple days.

I'm not complaining, I'm thankful for them letting us live here, but I've earned my keep, so to speak.

This weekend we move, and Sunday my FIL is smoking some ribs and a brisket just for me as a thank you for the work. Maybe I'll share a little with the wife and kids.

 

Anyone ever built their own shower pan?

Tile guy installs it and swears by it

Sometimes they substitute a sloped mud bed for the styrofoam bed if it's a non standard size or weird shaped shower

Cement sloper to the drain. I'll measure it again tomorrow. I can't remember the size off of the top of my head.

 

Use the Schluter system without the styrofoam pan

 

Center mullion/muntin should be flipped for true mirror.
