Hey guys, so i own a 2014 2wd access cab prerunner tacoma. In my head i'd like to have it lifted and get some bigger tires, but have ZERO knowledge or experience with lifts. Is there any recommendation on a basic lift or if its considered cheesy to lift a 2wd truck? I see so many type of lifts and spacers and all this talk i have no idea what they all mean. any info or help would be greatly appreciated! thanks![IMG]

Theres a lot of good info on here on different types of lifts, it all depends on how youre going to be using your truck. Do you do a lot of offroading, do you do it frequently? or do you want something basic to stuff a new set of wheels/tires under your truck?

Probably zero off roading. Essentially something basic so I can toss bigger tires in there

3 inch lift by dealer at purchase
Well it depends on what size tires you want to put on it. Also too much lift will void the warranty. The dealer told me on my 2013 that Toyota would stand behind a 3 inch lift and no more. The dealer did mine and it is a basic spacer lift. That is all you need if you are just doing it for looks and not getting too crazy with tires. Check with your dealer.
