I am just getting back into a Taco! I just picked up a 2014 SR access cab 4x4 and had a ToyTec BOSS kit installed, love it! Also, the shop that did the install, he has a new place in Lake Hopatcong, he has been in business for over 30 years and did a suspension on my 90 YJ and 2003 Taco... if you need a shop, check him out... I make hunting and fishing videos and also off-road videos, I just sold a 2010 JK 2 door and got the 2014 SR... The shop is called The 4x4 Place and they put together trail rides so if you are looking for work to be done on your Yota or just a group to go wheeling with, check them out, I put a video together for his website, it has all of his shop info too!

I feel I've passed this place a lot when I take 15 to Mtn Creek. You guys run that powerline trail by his shop?

This is a new location for him and it is off RT 15, he also mentioned that locals trail ride the power lines. They hit Rausch Creek quite a bit.

I popped into the 4x4 place a couple weeks back looking for a winch rope.. Nice guys in there.. I do all my own mods but nice to know that's there's a good local shop if I needed it.

I frequent some of those powerlines in that area, more-so in the Sparta, Ogdensburg, west Milford area.. Pretty good wheelin up there!

Tyler do you ever run into "the law" when your up in the power lines. I've always been intrested in checking it out but I have a few fourwheeler violations already and I don't like pushing my luck.

Well I never have, but have heard of some folks gettin summonses/harassed on dirt bikes and a couple Jeepers.. I guess they get popped leaving the access point getting back on the road.. So having a "spotter" to scope out the exit would be a good idea. Some of the runs are pretty challenging and IMO few/none of "the law" vehicles could get to you once you are in.

I'd say give it a shot, keep your eyes peeled, don't be drunk, and have a good excuse just in case lol. Also, I think the cops and rangers would only be in that area if they had received complaints by someone, so Tread lightly, don't litter/dump, don't mess with the powerlines/equipment and you should be good.

for sure.. maybe in the fall, I'll keep you posted.. I know you are real busy right now, and I haven't had much time to get out lately.. :(

miles and miles of trails up there.. not as rugged like places discussed above, but a lot of cool spots none-the-less

I go up to stokes from time to time. It's a good place to go to spend some time on the trails with out damaging your truck. You have to try to make the trails challenging though.
