This is my thought as well, when I sit on the tailgate weighing 175lbs it drops maybe 1/4" and the weight of the cap will be much more evenly distributed. I am hoping I can just leave it alone, after the price of the cap I am not wanting to spend more.

I doubt youll have any sag. put that topper on before you buy anything... i had a topper on my truck with a similar lift as yours and it sat totally level. I since sold the topper and it's the same height. And my topper was a snugtop, a high end and heavy one.

throw up some pics so i know what to look for as im driving around! im in the west metro area of the Twin Cities.

I had that same factory leaf set up. And I always have had a Leer XQ topper on my DCLB. At 40K the leafs were flattened out on the overload/helper leaf, and there was no arch left in the main leaf pack. Thank you Toyota

My OEM 4 leaf pack was flat and had lost about 1 1/2" of height after 5 months of carrying a 400 lb toolbox

I got the factory 4 leaf set up and a 1.5" AAL, I do know its much stiffer than it was factory.
