That sounds good. A.Wilson013 and I are still planning on heading to Oregon probably Weds night, and heading up on the WABDR on the 14th to meet you all in Packwood on the 15th. Bummer, I really have been wanting to do the whole WABDR for years.

Like all of our other indoor creatures, he was a rescue. We took him in as he was very emaciated, and had been vomiting dish towels and socks. Presumably, he wasn't being fed, so he was eating whatever he could get. We got some weight on him, and he turned out to be a very stocky boy. He was starting to limp with his front end after awhile, so we took him to a clinic in Kirkland, and they did a double elbow arthroscopy, which is going in with a scope into each elbow and chipping away at the arthritis that was already building up. He is currently 3.5 years old. That held him for a little while, but he has now gotten worse than he was before that procedure. When we talked to the vet that did that surgery, he started telling us about another procedure called a CUE. That is a much newer procedure and very limited on vets that do it (one in Boulder, CO and another in LA, CA to cover the west half of the country). For that one, they go into the elbow, clean up the arthritis buildup, the splay open one of the bones, insert a special implant, and close it all up again. What is really going on is that my dogs are all becoming bionic. I can say thank you for pet insurance. It has definitely paid out more than we have paid in. This surgery alone was $8000-10000, and our insurance covers 90% of the bill. For that with $100 annual deductible each animal and employee discount, monthly premium for 3 dogs and 2 cats is $130.

    This is pretty much correct.
Given that the group dynamic has changed, we tried to make it work for all vehicles.
The WABDR portion should be fine for stock based on what we've read.
Leaving WABDR, we will travel the 410 to Whistlin' Jack for refueling (it's the only place you can get gas, really).
From there, there is a trail that leads to Moon Rocks. I haven't been on it, but apparently it's easy enough space to take full size vehicles on, and the rating should be easy.
Moon Rocks is a choose your own adventure area. You can pick your path and choose some simple articulation or more advanced lines. The area is very open, so it's not like you can get stuck without an exit point. Pics below.

After Moon Rocks, we can go to camp and get the easy drivers transitioned to passengers, or easy drivers can head home. Easy drivers could take a final drive to Raven's Roost via access roads if desired. Everything past this will need more advanced rigs (no pics right now - let me know if needed).

Also, at this point there are 11 vehicles, I would like to cap it at this amount.

Thanks guys, sounds like a good plan. I'll tag along as far as my mostly stock rig can go. Hoping for some good camping.

Right on. Just let me know either way.

I don't mind being copilot and taking pictures for the trip if need be.

Yeah, I don't think my rig would make it through that (without some carnage at least lol)

Your rig should be able to make it to that spot, you just wont be able to crawl all over the place.... others can correct me if I am wrong

Correct. You can park at beginning I'm assuming, or take the milder paths. A lot is flat.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
Just called the Naches Ranger Station to clarify.

We do not need the NW Forest Pass unless we are parking and using their day-use areas (hiking trailheads, boat launches etc.). If we camp in a designated campground, we will just pay the fee(s) that are posted.

No fires, propane stoves are okay.

Bring insect repellent. She said the mosquitos are out in full force.

    Hello from SoCal

A question we have for this trip that you are putting together before we even decide to commit to ii because it's so very tempting . Is there a bail out point at the end of day 1 on Friday?

You should be able to make it back to Hwy-410 pretty easily from the Moon Rocks / Funny Rocks area.

We are still ironing out the itinerary, but the initial meeting point will be the Tatoosh Food Market in Packwood.

Day 1: Packwood to Funny Rocks
    - Initial leg: Over Bethel Ridge (WABDR route) to Whistlin' Jacks (Gas up & maybe grab lunch): https://goo.gl/maps/EvQws

    - 2nd Leg: Whistlin' Jacks to Moon Rocks / Funny Rocks: https://goo.gl/maps/YUoWu
(MonkeyProof - Reverse directions back to Hwy-410 from Moon Rocks / Funny Rocks: https://goo.gl/maps/LY1Mn)

    - 3rd Leg: TBD (find a campsite, setup camp, go wheel some more)

Well, everything that I posted above will be Day One. If we get an early start from Packwood (9:00-10:00) we will hit Whistlin Jacks by Noon to gas up (and maybe some lunch) and then head Moon Rocks/Funny Rocks to play around for a few hours.

There are a ton of trail systems in the Naches area, so we will put together a more organized itinerary in the next few days.
