It's that time of the year again great I have two cousins down there working the fire's one from up here Santa Cruz and the other out of San Monica. I feel for everyone down there it sucks it's only a matter of time before some nut up here gets our area in the news again because of there lame ass action . My son and I will be down there for a hockey tournament in a couple weeks hopefully they will have a handle on them before then. Stay Safe

The Jesusita fire in Santa Barbara's just been reported at 8,600 acres. If the wind picks back up tonight, it'll probably be at least 10-15k acres by morning.

    Crazy.

My family was evacuated so I decided to drive up to my hometown the other day to help them pack up and get them settled. I didn't think it would be that scary to be evacuated, but knowing that the hills behind the house where I lived and grew up are ablaze is super scary. The fire is pretty damn low and there's ashes everywhere in the air like snow falling from the sky.

Here's a pic I took on my phone in LA:

Another pic I took on the 2 freeway:

Oh man...makes me glad I live in the Bay Area, we rarely if at all get fires.
Hopefully everyone in the fire areas get out or are unharmed.

I hope San Diego gets lucky again this year with fires. We haven't had any bad ones since 2007, and that was bad. Being evacuated and not knowing if your house is still there or not is excruciating.

I hope they can get those LA fires contained soon.

No offense to anyone, and I feel bad for the people that lose life and/or property but:

I wouldn't mind one bit if California snapped right off at the Sierras and was flushed into the Pacific bowl. Bring on Arizona Bay.
