    Sooooo I need some help/advice on my rear set-up. What I have together now is wheeler progressive aal 1.5-2" of lift along with some beef'd taco 3" taper blocks along with a u-bolt flip kit. Hopefully achieving 4.5-5" of lift.

    Here's where I am a bit lost..I want to run 5125's along with the adapter which in theory would slightly extend my shock even more..The bds shocks that come are roughly 29.8" extended and 17.5" collapsed. I am also trying to consider what height bump stops I need also. Probably gonna choose some daystars..

    Or should I just wait till I get the lift and cycle the suspension?? Im just dying to get everything together..If anyone has some insight on what length billy's I should get please let me know!

    yes, you absolutely should wait and cycle it to set your bumps if you want to maximize your travel.

    Would you agree on shock length at least tho? Believe the ones I'm gonna go with are 28.7 extended and 17.8 collapsed. Plus the eyelet to stud adapter should give me 2" more..there isn't much options really..closet thing I can find besides getting something custom which I don't feel is necessary until I get some full leafs..I'll hold on bumpstops for sure until install

    A lot of people make the mistake of not measuring for shocks first and then losing either compression or droop travel. It is highly recommended to flex your truck without any shocks to measure first.

    Too long generally means that they do not compress enough to allow you to flex all the way to your bump....and the best part is that once you get this shock thing dialed in you'll get a new leaf pack and need completely different shocks yet again... Welcome to the game :)

    I'm kind of in the same predicament....I'm getting Aarons 6" lift alcans and wanting to throw some better shocks on with them...I have some cheap white no names now...what are my options for a off the shelf shock...I do no offroading so alot of travel isn't a big concern..just want a better ride....

    Do they make bilstein shocks in that length? You could go with bilstein or get some fox shocks that are the correct length

    Summit has some pro comp ones and it says they add 2" of length to the shock...I'll just measure my current ones which will work and match them up

    Yotamatt how much lift do you have in the rear? I like those rcd's just wish they were a tad longer..I probably need something in the 29-30" length

    Picking up my alcan springs next saturday... 6" lift the rcd won't work...I'm going with the fox shocks that come with the bds....they are 29"
