Mounting the bike is just two tie downs which are always in the bed. It takes longer to remove my kiteboarding equipment from the bed then get the bike ready to go. I bike more than I surf so it's been working pretty well.

I do appreciate the security of it and can keep a lot less equipment in the cab now. Although if they really want to get into the bed it's not going to stop them. I'm thinking about taking it into the car alarm shop to see if they can add a sensor to the cover.

Mounting is pretty clean and very easy to do. It took 45 mins. I honesty haven't taken it off yet but its just two butterfly nuts to remove it. It does add some weight to the truck. BAK industries says 35 lbs but it seemed heavier to me.

Ya, a few people have thought the decals are blemishes. I like them for now and that it's black and black, low contrast look that isn't too loud. If had the white or red paint I probably would have removed them and may still.

One minor benefit from them is they add some scratch protection from the brushes when I'm on the trail.

I was thinking of taking them off and having the truck wrapped. It is still a little painful taking a brand new truck on the skinny, brush lined trails.

Ya, they weren't the best purchase. The HIDs have been a pain in the ass and unreliable when I'm hitting the trails hard. I'll probably change them out once there exhausted.

Stock 265, 70, 16. I wouldn't mind a size bigger for the sand but I don't want to lose any mpg on the daily ride.

That's at the end of Corral Canyon in Malibu and the south end of Back Bone Trail. I'm always looking for other trail riders if you ride in SoCal.

265, 70, 16. They hook up great on most terrain but just a little short on clearance. MPG isn'y too bad though.

BTW, I changed my UCA to ICON when I added the 1" lift. The truck handles even better now and I can squeak out another .5 " of travel with a longer shock. But the Bilsteins rock as you already know and probably will just stick with them due to cost of the ICON extended travel shocks.

I ride Old San Juan in OC. Amazing trail especially if you can shuttle it.

    255/85/16!!

But in the sand you'd have to air down for sure. The tall skinny tire wouldn't be good at all at full psi.

But they are slightly taller than the 285 if I'm not mistaken and are an inch narrower so no trimming

And my mpg only went down to 19 in my 4banger
