if no one else has dibs already - when you get to the solid axle swap i might be interested in taking some of your old IFS junk off your hands if it's not too beat haha

Sure! Case of beer and it's yours haha. The suspension isn't in the greatest shape. I.e. Lower control arms are pretty banged up and dented. But everything else is in good shape. Diff is in great shape. Front driveshaft I'll probably have to get some money for. Steering rack is good, and has poly bushings in it. Skid plates you can have....however they're pretty mashed up. Still fit though.

hell yeah that's a deal haha, just let me know when you start tearing things down and what kind of beer you drink and I'll stop by. And if you need some cash for some parts too that's all good, I'm sure we can work something out!

Do you already have the Waggy axle? A Ford high pinion 44 would be better all around in terms of width, axle tube thickness, high pinion not low pinion. I would say go D60 because a stock 60 is stronger than a built 44 but it sounds like you're already set on a 44 :D For driveability, a 44 is a wiser choice because it weighs half of what a D60 weighs.

What size tire do you plan on running both now and in the future?

35's or 37's with a light foot is perfect for a built 44. But you may find yourself in the same boat you are now. Afraid of breaking things. Maybe worth it to go stock 60's now

No I don't think it'll be an issue. A built 44 will have no problems handling a 37. And that's what I plan on running. There are lots of people running built 44's and 39-40's. On much heavier vehicles.

Plus...this isn't a KOH rig haha. I have a light foot. It's going to be built to crawl. Not rock bounce. If I go 60 in the front, then I'll have to do the rear to haha. And I don't feel like doing that. Not yet...

That is exactly why you might as well go with a 60 now :D

    Don't buy axles twice :)

Or go with a built diamond like I used to have. Bitches love diamonds hahaha

Sorry...we got hit by the worst hail storm to date yesterday evening. The siding on the house lookes like someone shot it with rubber pellets out of a shotgun, so I've been busy cleaning glass, shingles and siding up. Thank god I was out wheeling when it it, but my little civic didn't fair to good. Front window is smashes, both headlights and signal lights are smashed. It's been a busy couple of days for us up here.

The only "kit" parts I'll be going with are the trail gear frame plates, oil pan, and shackle hangers. The rest I'm going to piece together.

That unfortunately is on the bottom of the to do list right now. Priority is to get the house back to normal, so that the next time it rains it doesn't wreck the tar paper and osb under it. After that it starts leaking inside and I don't need that lol.

Ahhh sorry to hear that bud! Sounds like some shit that would happen to me. As soon as you get money saved up for a big mod something with higher priority comes up and steals all the mod money... I been saving up for dirty fives for a month now lmao

On another note, dusy still on? I'm excited to just see some pics!

Well....yes and no. You can get windshield insurance, and that's about it. Anything else, they just estimate the damage, then decide weather to fix it or write it off.

A good friend of mine just bought a 2014 ram sport. Fully load..everything. Just had it looked at for the hail damage...28 grand worth of hail damage. So more than likely he'll just go pick out a new one hahaha.

Shitty part about it though, is every time you make a claim your deductible goes up. So it becomes a "is it worth it" decision. I'm not going to claim the civic. It's wayyyy to old, and a new windshield is only $105. I'll just have some custom dents. ALL OVER haha
