The taco I just picked up has a dented tailgate. It works fine. It's just an eye sore. What other years fit a 2008?? Thanks. Zac.

Welcome....We are going to ignore the "any year" comment 'cause we know that is not a true statement. I'm not 100% sure but I think from 2005 and up. The new body style is what you're gonna need.

It's called or referred to here as 2nd Generation Tacoma.

Good luck and when you get your "new to you" tailgate, take the extra time to secure it. Search the site and look for tailgate theft prevention tips.

OMG ok seriously thats a given since this is posted in the 2nd gen tacoma section.

If you can't figure out that the 95-04's are different then the 05+ then you have a problem.

One note.... The 09's have the backup cameras in the handle with additional wiring you shouldn't need, but I believe they will also fit.

Posting in a specific section means absolutely nothing. Ever read a post where someone says "I'm not sure where to post this but..."

I may be his first Tacoma, could be his first pickup. He may have never even paid attention to previous years or model styles.

The OP is a newer member, 7 posts. This means a hello right off the bat would of been nice and then when you establish a TW relationship, you can begin to goof around. I've been guilty of this and after I went back and looked at the posts I had replied to in a poor attempt of sarcasm, I can see where someone could be guided away from an obvious answer.

I'm not the hall monitor here, I'm just passing on what has been passed onto me.
