NJ dudes. A plea for HID retrofit, Aiming / alignment help needed.
I'm located in Brick, exit 92 GSP, I will travel to you with beer.

If you have experience properly aiming / aligning hid projector retrofits and aren't too far from me please PM me.

I know how to turn the adjustment screws but it's not very effective, fact is I have no clue how to properly line these things up.

To me, the beam seems to shoot out ahead then it's like totally dark beyond it, passed the cut off. The drivers side is worse as it seems aimed more down. Trying to even it w passenger side and it won't even get close.

Can't really post pictures cause they don't really show it.

Anyone have experience w this that lives by me?
I almost feel like my stock lights put out more light.

This is like 25 feet from a garage and it's not effective at showing when I'm driving down a dark road that the light output passed the cut off is dark.

    Disregard NJ projector folks...
when i measured the cut off they were 12 inches too low with the truck back 25 feet! once i brought them up to 36" at 25' its like night and day difference.

x2.. just finished up (i think) the cutting and smashing for the 35's. cut the cab mount back as far as that little plate thats bolted on top of it would allow and angled back from there. then took a 10lb sledge and beat the shit out of the firewall.

glad you figured it out. i was going to say i think the driver side is supposed to be lower for oncoming traffic, but thats all i know.

I dunno, I guess it's kinda like getting the first pinstripe on the truck. The first chop is the hardest. :D

I'm getting tired of getting showered in sparks :p

caught my pants on fire last night cutting cab mount chop fill plates, and then decided the plates won't work.

Why not spend $50 and buy an angle grinder. Mine is a cheap ryobi I got at hd for like $30. It's done all the cutting on my truck. Spent more $ on cutting wheels and grinding discs than I did for the grinder itself.
