So I've been playing around with the new laptop and windows movie maker. It appears I now can actually use music directly from itunes and put it straight into the program. I used a free song from itunes so hopefully that didn't affect it. That would have been helpful 7 years ago

Will have to mess with it some more as I've noticed some features I was able to quickly do before, seem difficult to figure out in this new version.

 

Movie maker is straight shit lol. Tried that once and have up. If you are really good with torrents and key gens you can get almost any program, if not there are a number of Decent editors for 30 to 70


In other news, sailing regatta number two went sooooo much smother than the first one. We finished all the races and actually beat a couple of people some how

Movie maker works, but leaves much to be desired. I wish I could find a user friendly editor haha

I've downloaded a few torrented programs but haven't found one I liked yet.

 

Yeah it's what I used to use.

Maybe I haven't found it yet, but you used to be able to clearly split up video and audio on the lower section.

 

What do you mean by "user friendly" haha? Because any program worth a damn will take some getting used to, how a traditional editor is laid out.

I've just been using a hone version of Sony vegas. I think it works well for the amateur. There are a couple of tricks I wish it had that the pro version has, and it doesent have a huge list of generated media and special effects but for every day videos it works well and is cheap.

 

Once I start getting some footage, I'll see if I actually need to purchase some software or not lol

 

Tried Vegas. Too much stuff going at once for me, which is ironic with my job. I guess I need to sit down and learn what I'm currently using. But oh well.

 

You will, even basic shit like cutting and placing clips and syncing them and layering on multiple tracks is a pain in the ass with movie maker or go pro or those basic ones

That's just the way it is. It's certainly harder if you have to learn on your own but that's the most straightforward and simple style of interface for editing software.
