I knew I clicked on this thread for a reason...Sig FTMFW. I love my P220 in .45. It is by far my favorite firearm.

Just picked up my Shield 40 and put 200 rounds through it with one jam. Shoots so much better than my old Glock 27, and while my groups are wider than I'd like for 30 yards at least I'm good up to that spot. Kick felt like cutting through warm butter - so smooth! Very happy with this purchase. Anyone else shoot one?

Brand new. The guys at the shop had already cleaned and lubed it like they do every gun before selling. Am gonna clean it for my first time tonight. Looks as easy as a Glock, though. You ever shoot a Shield? The 9mm must be even smoother.

Youch! I truly never thought of it before I saw my current shop oiling guns. Hm.

Andre, this Shield is my main home protection and for cc. I'm all spent on guns now, but would buy a full-size for my home defense. Had to buy 2 extra 7-round mags for this, though.

Picking up my G27 probably in a weel or 2. I know people say its hard to control and there are better options out there but Ive been so happy with my G22 and ill be able to put my 22 mags in the 27. Itll be for CCW reasons so not too worried about long distance accuracy with it. I cant hit 4 square inch targets from 70-100 yards with my 22 so im sure I can manage a solid target from 10 yards with the 27

    Look down..... :D
You're absolutely right. I've only bought at two stores, and this one oils them, but I'm wondering about that first one many years ago. :annoyed: Will definitely be paying better attention next time around.

I have long thin fingers, and the thick/stubby grip wore on me, along with my terrible time re-acquiring the target since it was so snappy. Not a bad gun by any stretch, but just not for my hand. Don't you have shorter/thicker fingers? Interchangeable mags is a bonus! Congrats, though, and let me know your thoughts after rang time. We all need to do group range time, just not at Burro. :)

This is for bear/moose protection. Debated everything 44 and above, and ultimately said "eff-it!" If I'm going to miss a hairy, fast-moving target then I'd like to debilitate it at least, hence the 500 purchase. I also got a good deal. I first fired the 8.4", but it felt too bulky and was majorly front-heavy. This 6.5" feels perfect. Pretty damned accurate at 25 yards for starters. Looks like your 44, Beavis, yeah?

I don't know; I haven't shot the .40 version. But my 9mm Shield more nudges than kicks. Even when I'm running +P thru it, it doesn't hurt to shoot. Its definitely the most fun sub-compact I've shot.

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
I always degrease any new piece cause some maufactures use cheap oil/grease. Also, I use froglube and it works best when applied to a degreased surface.

    I still use Hoppes.

That sounds right - "nudges rather than kicks." Glad to hear you enjoy yours, too! I want to try a 9mm now....

Weird how normal this seems to me now, what with size and kick. Wondering if that's why my Shield seems tame. lol That 44 is frickin' sweet and solid, though.

I love mine; it's my EDC from October-April, with occasional use during the summer on cooler days. And since I've got the Crimson Trace laser bolted onto it, it does nightstand duty pretty frequently too.
I'd tell you to stop by the house to run a few mags thru it, but you'd be in for one hell of a trip. For what you'd spend getting here you could buy one of your own, and a crapton of ammo.

+1 I was very surprised how little recoil the 9mm Shield had when I shot my friend's. Much less than my .40 full size M&P. Plus, you get an extra round over the .40 Shield.

No, I haven't nite-sited it yet. I bought the gun and the CT laser at the same time, and didn't feel like dropping another $150 for nite sites. Plus, with the laser they'd be kind of redundant. They'd be a good backup if the laser ever fails, but they're not a high priority until I get the rest of my handguns night sighted.
I have Trijicons on my 5906 and my G19 thus far, and I'm very impressed with them. If they were any brighter I'd be worried that they'd ruin my night vision, haha!

Edit: I have Metropolights on my 22a, and they seem to be of high quality as well, but I had to file the front edge very slightly in order to get them to seat properly.
